Frá Þóroddsstöðum í Ólafsfirði. Ása var góð saumakona enda lærð til þeirra hluta á Akureyri. Kvæntist Tryggva Friðrikssyni frá Hléskógum í Höfðahverfi í S-Þing., þau bjuggu m.a. í Eyhildarholti og á Ingveldarstöðum á Reykjaströnd, fóru til Vesturheims 1922, bjuggu lengst af í Winnipeg. Þau eignuðust þrjú börn.
