Verkakona á Sauðárkróki. Fór til Reykjavíkur árið 1944 og vann fyrst sem vinnukona við húsverk hjá ýmsum, síðan í 10 ár í mötuneyti við Útvegsbankann. Eftir það alllengi á hótelum og veitingastöðum í Reykjavík, síðast á Hrafnistu og Elliheimilinu Grund. Jafnframt húsfreyja í Reykjavík.
