Foreldrar: Einar Guðmundsson hreppstjóri og alþingismaður að Hraunum í Fljótum og 1.k.h. Kristín Pálsdóttir frá Viðvík. Kvæntist Guðmundi Davíðssyni hreppstjóra á Hraunum í Fljótum. Þau bjuggu að Hofi í Hörgárdal 1892-1896, á Hraunum í Fljótum frá 1896 og fram á gamals aldur. Ólöf var síðast búsett í Reykjavík. Aðeins eitt af börnum Ólafar og Guðmundar náði fullorðinsaldri.
