Biographical history
Stefán Sigurðsson, f. í Vigur á Ísafjarðardjúpi, d. 22.08.1893, d. 22.09.1969. Foreldrar: Þórunn Bjarnadóttir og Sigurður Stefánsson prestur í Vigur. Stefán lauk gagnfræðaprófi frá Akureyri vorið 1911 og fór síðar í Verzlunarskólann í Reykjavík og lauk þaðan prófi. Vann síðan skrifstofu- og verslunarstörf á Ísafirði og stundaði einnig loðdýrarækt. Sat einnig í bæjarstjórn Ísafjarðar fyrir sjálfstæðisflokkinn árin 1925-1928.
