Biographical history
Fæddur í Stafholti. Foreldrar: Ólafur Pálsson (1814-1876) alþingismaður og kona hans Guðrún Ólafsdóttir Stephensen (1820-1899) húsmóðir. Páll lauk stúdentsprófi frá Lærða skólanum 1869 og guðfræðiprófi frá Prestaskólanum 1871. Árið 1873 var hann vígður aðstoðarprestur hjá föður sínum á Melstað. Prestur í Hestþingum 1875-1876. Gerðist síðan aftur aðstoðarprestur föður síns. Fékk Stað í Hrútafirði 1877, Prestbakka (ásamt Stað) 1880. Prestur í Vatnsfirði 1900-1928. Prófastur í Strandaprófastdæmi 1883-1900. Prófastur í Norður-Ísafjarðarsýslu 1906-1927. Alþingismaður Strandamanna 1886-1892. Maki: Arndís Pétursdóttir Eggertz (1858-1937) húsmóðir. Þau eignuðust 13 börn.
