History
Kári Jónsson fæddist á Sauðárkróki 27. október 1933. ,,Hann var sonur Jóns Björnssonar verslunarmanns, sem lengi stýrði Ytribúð Kaupfélags Skagfirðinga (Gránu), og konu hans, Unnar Magnúsdóttur. ,,Kári lauk gagnfræðaprófi á Sauðárkróki vorið 1950 og gerðist síðan afgreiðslumaður í verzlun Haraldar Júlíussonar. Árið 1954 fór Kári ásamt vini sínum til Kanada og vann þar meðal annars við ríkisjárnbrautirnar. Eftir heimkomuna hóf hann aftur störf hjá Haraldi og vann þar til ársins 1959 en réðst þá til Verzlunarfélags Skagfirðinga. Í maímánuði 1966 hóf hann störf hjá Pósti og síma á Sauðárkróki og starfaði þar meðan kraftar entust. Hann varð fulltrúi stöðvarstjóra 1974 og skipaður stöðvarstjóri 1983." Kári kvæntist Evu Snæbjörnsdóttur, þau eignuðust tvo syni.
