Foreldrar: Konráð Bjarnason b. í Brekkukoti fremra í Blönduhlíð og k.h. Rósa Magnúsdóttir. Karólína fór kornung í fóstur að Marbæli til hjónanna Sigurlínu Magnúsdóttur og Árna jónssonar og fermdist þaðan árið 1906. Um tvítugt var hún eitt misseri við saumanám á Sauðárkróki. Kvæntist Halldóri Stefánssyni, þau bjuggu m.a. í Brekkukoti fremra, í Borgarseli og á Sauðárkróki, þau eignuðust fjögur börn.
