Foreldrar: Þormóður Ólafsson b. í Ártúni við Reykjavík og k.h. Þóra Jónsdóttir. Kvæntist Eyjólfi Einarssyni frá Mælifellsá. Þau bjuggu á Hafgrímsstöðum, Starrastöðum, Mælifellsá, Krithóli, Glaumbæ og síðast á Reykjum í Tungusveit þar sem þau létust bæði árið 1896. Þau eignuðust sjö syni.
