Þorvaldur Ari Arason, f. 23.09.1849, d. 04.03.1926. Foreldrar: Ari Arason bóndi og kanselliráð á Flugumýri og kona hans Helga Þorvaldsdóttir. Þorvaldur ólst upp á Flugumýri. Hann var við nám í Lærða skólanum í Reykjavík en hætti þar og gjörðist bóndi á Flugumýri 1882-1896. Hann var bóndi á Víðimýri 1896-1921 en brá þá búi og var eftir það hjá sonum sínum til æviloka. Hann var póstafgreiðslumaður meðan hann bjó á Víðimýri.
Maki: Anna Vigdís Steingrímsdóttir (1854-1939). Þau eignuðust sex börn sem náðu fullorðinsaldri.
