History
Reimar Helgason, f. að Kirkjuhóli í Seyluhrepp27.05.1902, d. 21.11.1970. Foreldrar: Helgi Guðnason og fyrri kona hans, Sigurbjörg Jónsdóttur. Reimar ólst upp í foreldrahúsum á Kirkjubóli þar til hann missti móður sína 12 ára gamall, þá fór hann í fóstur til Jóhanns Sigurðssonar og Sigurlaugar Ólafsdóttur á Löngumýri. Varð hann síðan vinnumaður þar í áraraðir og síðar lausamaður. Árið 1942 keypti hann jörðina Bakka í Vallhólmi en var alltaf viðloða Löngumýrarheimilið og sá t.d. um rekstur rafstöðvarinnar þar. Reimar var ókvæntur og barnlaus.
