Arnbjörg Eiríksdóttir fæddist 27. desember 1896 í Nesi í Flókadal, dóttir Eiríks Ásmundssonar b. á Reykjarhóli á Bökkum og sambýliskonu hans Guðrúnar Magnúsdóttur. Arnbjörg var alinn upp hjá foreldrum sínum á Reykjarhóli. Hún lauk prófi frá Ljósmæðraskóla Íslands 1. apríl 1924. Hún var ljósmóðir í Haganeshreppi 1924-1946 og 1947-1968. Í Holtshreppi 1925-1928, 1947-1948 og 1961-1968. Maður hennar var Ásmundur Jósefsson (1899-1991), þau eignuðust fimm börn. Þau bjuggu Stóru-Reykjum í Fljótum 1924-1951, á Sigríðarstöðum í Flókadal 1951-1953, í Neskoti í sömu sveit 1953-1954, á Sjöundastöðum í sömu sveit 1954-1968. Síðast búsett á Sauðárkróki.
