Eiríkur Haukur Stefánsson, f. á Hjaltastöðum í Blönduhlíð 24.08.1938, d. 17.07.1992. Foreldrar: Stefán Vagnsson og Helga Jónsdóttir, Hann ólst upp á Hjaltastöðum fyrstu æviárin en þegar hann var enn á barnsaldri fluttist fjölskyldan á Sauðárkrók. Hann dvaldi þó áfram á sumrin í Hjaltastaðakoti. Hann hélt til Kanda ásamt vini sínum, Kára Jónssyni frá Sauðárkróki að snemma á sjötta áratugnum. Valdi hann þar, aðallega í Winnipeg, í hálft annað ár við ýmis störf. Heim kominn lærði hann málaraiðn og starfaði við það á Sauðárkróki. Síðar var hann við skrifstofustörf hjá Saumastofunni Vöku. Lengst af bjuggu hann og Minný á Víðigrund 13. Þau eignuðust ekki börn en Minný átti tvö börn fyrir.
