Biographical history
Ingunn Árnadóttir fæddist 19. mars 1922 í Hólkoti á Reykjaströnd, Skagafirði. Foreldrar hennar voru Árni Þorvaldsson og Sigurbjörg Hálfdanardóttir. Ingunn giftist árið 1947 Sverri Finnbogasyni rafvirkja, og áttu þau þrjár dætur. Ingunn lauk kennaraprófi frá Kennaraskóla Íslands árið 1946 og kenndi við Skóla Ísaks Jónssonar 1946-1956 og svo aftur frá 1965 þar til hún lét af störfum vegna aldurs.
