Finni er fæddur á Daðastöðum á Reykjaströnd þar sem foreldrar hans bjuggu til 1946 er þau fluttu að Steini á Reykjaströnd. Línumaður og síðar verkstjóri hjá Rarik, búsettur á Sauðárkróki. Kvæntist Maríu Jóhannsdóttur frá Daðastöðum.
