Biographical history
Loftur Rögnvaldsson fæddist í Miðhúsum í Óslandshlíð 16. nóvember 1891, sonur Rögnvaldar Jónssonar og k.h. Steinunnar Helgu Jónsdóttur. Hann var kennari á Hólum, síðar bóndi og búfræðingur á Hlíðarenda í Óslandshlíð 1920-1922 og 1923-1925. Árið 1925 hóf hann búskap í Óslandi í sömu sveit. Þar var hann bóndi til æviloka.
Kona hans var Nanna Ingjaldsdóttir (1898-1981), þau eignuðust tvo syni.
