Magnús Halldór Gíslason (Abbi) var fæddur á Frostastöðum í Akrahreppi í Skagafirði þann 23. mars 1918. Hann var bóndi á Frostastöðum í Akrahreppi og síðar blaðamaður í Reykjavík, síðast búsettur á Frostastöðum. Magnús var varaþingmaður og sat um tíma á þingi. Kona hans var Jóhanna Guðný Þórarinsdóttir (f. 1921-2018).
Magnús lést á Sauðárkróki 3. febrúar 2013.
