History
Þrúður fæddist í Stokkhólma í Vallhólmi, dóttir Jóns ,,sterka" Guðmundssonar b. á Hafgrímsstöðum og k.h. Þrúðar Jónsdóttur. Þrúður ólst upp hjá foreldrum sínum, en missti föður sinn árið 1831. Hún var hjá móður sinni og stjúpa, Gunnari Guðmundssyni, á Hafgrímsstöðum 1831-1839. Vann að búi þeirra í Stapa í Tungusveit 1839-48 en var í vist hjá tengdaforeldrum sínum í Glæsibæ 1848-1849. Kvæntist Jóni Björnssyni frá Glæsibæ í Staðarhreppi, þau bjuggu í Miðhúsum. Eftir lát Jóns brá hún búi og eftirlét Þrúði dóttur sinni jarðnæðið og var hjá henni í Miðhúsum 1885-1900 og hjá Guðrúnu dóttur sinni á s.st. til æviloka. Átti hún Miðhús til dauðadags. Þrúður og Jón eignuðust tólf börn
