Sölvi fjallar um málaferlin árið 1854 en hann var ákærður fyrir bæði þjófnað og flakk. Réttarhöld þessi voru afdrifarík fyrir Sölva því dómurinn var þungur. Hann var dæmdur til þriggja ára betrunarvistar í Kaupmannahöfn. Í þessu handriti fer hann m.a. yfir sakargiftir sýslumannsins, kvartar undan óréttlætinu sem hann telur sig beittann og ítrekar sakleysi sitt.
Við sögu koma auk Schulesen m.a. Eggert Briem, Jóhann Pálsson í Keldarnesi og Stefán Jónsson.
