History
Dóttir Sigurðar Guðmundssonar (Sigga bæjar) og Jónínu Magnúsdóttur. Ólst upp með foreldrum sínum, en þau voru hér og þar í vinnumennsku eða húsmennsku í Sléttuhlíð og á Höfðaströnd. Með þeim fluttist Sumarrós til Sauðárkróks og giftist manni sínum Eggerti Kristjánsyni. Þau fluttu til Reykjavíkur árið 1916, þau eignuðust þrjú börn.
