History
Á fundi að Stóru - Ökrum 17. júní 1886 á 75 ára afmæli Jóns Sigurðssonar voru samþykkt lög handa Jarðabótafélagi Akrahrepps er Ólafur Briem stúdent á Frostastöðum hafði samið frumvarp til laga og á þeim fundi var hann kosinn formaður félagsins. Vorið 1887 flutti Ólafur og var þá séra Einar Jónsson á Miklabæ kjörinn formaður til vorsisn 1989 er hann flutti . En á þessu márum var svolítið unnið að jarðabótum en eigi þótti til neins að sækja opinberan styrk hans búnaðarfélaginu enda engum skýrslum safnað um störf þess. Vorið 1989 var Þorvaldur Arason bóndi á Flugumýri kosinn formaður og safnaði formaður skýrslu um jarðabótafélagið saman og sendi til sýslunefnadar og sótti um styrk handa félaginu sem fékk 42 kr. úr landssjóði. 1890 var samþykkt að ráða búfræðing til félagsins Páll Ólafsson í Litladalskoti, síðan árið 1891 voru þeir orðnir tveir er Guðmundur búfræðingur er staddur var á fundinum var ráðinn.
