Biographical history
Prestur. Útskrifaður frá Bessastaðaskóla 1827. Fékk Grímsey árið 1828 og fékk Miðdal árið 1834 en missti þar prestskap vegna hórdómsbrots. Fékk uppreisn 1843 og Knappstaði í Fljótum 19. júní 1843. Fékk þar lausn frá prestskap 28. mars 1881 frá fardögum. Hann þótti mikill tápmaður en heldur óprestlegur. Eru af honum ýmsar sagnir.
