Biographical history
Indíana Sigmundsdóttir fæddist 28. febrúar 1909 að Vestara-Hóli í Skagafirði. Foreldrar hennar voru Sigmundur Jónsson, bóndi á Vestara-Hóli og seinni kona hans, Halldóra Baldvinsdóttir frá Lambanesi. Indiana átti heimili á Vestara-Hóli til ársins 1956. Síðari hluta ævinnar bjó hún á Sauðárkróki. Indíana bjó einnig um tíma á Sjöundastöðum. Ógift og barnslaus.
