History
Lárus Hermannsson f. á Hofsósi 04.03.1914, d. 12.04.2007 í Reykjavík. Foreldrar: Hermann Jónsson bóndi og hreppstjóri á Ysta-Mói og kona hans Elín Lárusdóttir.
Maki: Aðalheiður Halldórsdóttir. Þau eignuðust einn son.
Maki 2: María Jakobína Sófusdóttir. Þau eignuðust þrjá syni.
Lárus ólst upp á Ysta-Móií Fljótum. Þar gekk hann í barnaskóla í Haganesvík. Hann stundaði nám við Íþróttaskólann á Laugarvatni einn vetur og fír síðan í Samvinnuskólann. Að loknu námi þar fór hann til Ísafjarðar og starfaði hjá kaupfélaginu þar í nokkur ár. Þá starfaði hann hjá KRON og síðan SÍS. Lárus var hagmæltur og eftir hann liggur nokkur kveðskapur. Árið 1998 gaf hann út bókina Frásagnir frá fyrri tíð sem geymir m.a. sagnaþætti og vísur.
