History
Foreldrar: Jónatan Jónatansson b. í Kelduvík og Þangskála á Skaga og k.h. María Magnúsdóttir. Sveinn ólst upp með foreldrum sínum og var í húsmennsku þar fyrst eftir að hann kvæntist Guðbjörgu Jónsdóttur frá Hóli á Skaga. Þau bjuggu svo í Efranesi 1876-1878 en fóru þá aftur að Þangskála og bjuggu þar til 1883. Fluttu að Hrauni á Skaga 1883-1919. Sveinn stundaði sjómennsku meðfram búskap og var m.a. hákarlaskipsformaður. Sveinn og Guðbjörg eignuðust fimm börn.
