Foreldrar: Stefán Sölvason, f. 1841, síðast bóndi á Daðastöðum á Reykjaströnd og Elín Vigfúsdóttir, f. 1841. Maki: Sigurjón Jónasson, f. 1877, bóndi og hreppstjóri. Bjuggu í Hólakoti 1903-1922 og frá 1922-1953. Jónas sonur þeirra tók við búi á Skefilstöðum og voru þau búsett hjá honum fram til hins síðasta. Þau eignuðust sex börn, þar af fimm syni sem náðu fullorðinsaldri.
