History
Ingimundur var fæddur á Illugastöðum í Laxárdal fremri, foreldrar hans voru Bjarni Sveinsson og Kristín Jónsdóttir. Ingimundur ólst upp í Kirkjuskarði í Laxárdal hjá Stefáni Guðmundssyni og Sigríði Guðmundsdóttur. Árið 1919 kvæntist Ingimundur Sveinsínu Bergsdóttur og tóku þau við búi að Kirkjuskarði. 1925 brugðu þau búi og fluttu í húsið Árbakka (Suðurgötu 5) á Sauðárkróki. Í kjallara hússins opnaði Ingimundur járnsmíðaverkstæði og starfaði þar sem járn/eldsmiður. Ingimundur og Sveinsína eignuðust fjórar dætur.
