History
Eins og segir í bók: Við undirrituð ekta hjón, Jóhann P.Pétursson hreppstjóri og damibrogsmaður, og Elín Guðmundsdóttir á Brúnatöðum og við hjónin Björn Þorkelsson og Guðlaug Gunnlaugsdóttir á Sveinstöðum, gjörum hér með kunnugt að við hvor um sig gefur 1000-eitt þúsund krónur til stofnunnar sjóðs ern verja skal til uppeldis munaðarlausum börnum í Lýtingsstaðarhreppi og gilda um sjóð þennan reglur. Í lögunum segir meðal annars í 2.gr. Höfuðstóll sjóðsins skal leggjast í Sparísjóðinn á Sauða´rkróki og skal hann standa það á vöxtum um aldur og æfi, sem föst innistæða en aldrei má skerða en vöxtum sjóðsins skal árlega varið til uppfósturs börnum er misst hafa foreldra sina og sveit eiga í Lýtingsstaðarhreppi. Undirritað er og þinglýst á manntalsþingi að Lýtinssstöðum 27.maí. 1903. Eggert Briem.
Ekki kemur fram í gögnum þessum um framtíð sjóðsins.
