History
Foreldrar: Árni Magnússon og Anna Rósa Pálsdóttir í Utanverðunesi. Dýrleif ólst upp hjá foreldrum sínum og fluttist með þeim til Sauðárkróks árið 1907. Naut hún barna- og unglingafræðslu þar. Dýrleif starfaði mikið með ungliðadeild Góðtemplara reglunnar og í Ungmennafélaginu Tindastóli þar sem hún var heiðursfélagi. Dýrleif starfaði einnig allmikið með verkakvennafélaginu Öldunni og sat í stjórn um skeið, söng einnig um nokkurra ára skeið með Kirkjukór Sauðárkróks. Dýrleif kvæntist Guðmundi Sveinssyni árið 1919 og það sama ár hófu þau búskap á Hóli í Sæmundarhlíð. Ári síðar fluttu þau til Sauðárkróks og bjuggu þar síðan, þau eignuðust sjö börn. Eftir að börn þeirra hjóna voru uppkomin, starfaði Dýrleif við fiskvinnslu hjá KS á meðan starfsævi entist.
