Bókin er í góðu ástandi og auðlesanleg en nokkrar af fyrstu blaðsíðunum hafa verið klipptar úr. Á einni blaðsíðu við síðurnar sem vantar er skrifað: "Einhver (handhafi gjörðarbókar?) hefir orðið til þess óhapps að klippa nokkur fyrstu blöðin úr gjörðarbókinni, og sennilega glatað þeim. - Besta heimild um sögu félagsins fyrstu 2 ár þess eru því með glötuð".
