Biographical history
Foreldrar: Axel Christian Theodor Lassen Jóhannsson veggfóðrari í Reykjavík og Margrét Finnbogadóttir. Finnbogi lauk gagnfræðaprófi vorið 1926 og stúdentsprófi 1930. Lauk háskólaprófi í guðfræði 1936 og kennaraprófi 1938. Sumarið 1941 dvaldist Finnbogi við predikunarstarf í Hvammsprestakalli og fékk svo veitingu fyrir Stað í Aðalvík sama ár þar sem hann dvaldist í fjögur ár. Prestur í Hvammi í Laxárdal 1946-1975. Síðustu æviárin var Finnbogi búsettur á Sauðárkróki. Ókvæntur og barnlaus.
