Biographical history
Ottó fæddist á Sauðárkróki, sonur hjónanna Guðrúnar Pálsdóttur húsfreyju og Jörgen Frank Michelsen úrsmiðs og kaupmanns á Sauðárkróki. Hann lærði skriftvélatækni í Þýskalandi og stofnaði fyrirtækið Skrifstofuvélar árið 1946. Hann var forstjóri IBM á Íslandi 1967-1982. Hann gengdi trúnaðarstörfum á sviði menningar - og félagsmála og einnig fyrir þjóðkirkjuna.
Ottó kvæntist Gyðu Jónsdóttur og eignaðist með henni fjögur börn.
