Byggðasafn Skagfirðinga var stofnað árið 1948 og er rannsókna-, þekkingar- og þjónustustofnun sem safnar, varðveitir og rannsakar muni og minjar úr Skagafjarðarhéraði og miðlar til almennings. Starfssvæði þess er bundið við landfræðileg mörk Akrahrepps og Sveitarfélagsins Skagafjarðar. Höfuðstöðvar safnsins eru í Glaumbæ.
