History
Fæddur og uppalinn á Brimnesi í Viðvíkursveit, sonur Símonar Pálmasonar og Sigurlaugar Þorkelsdóttur. Pálmi kvæntist Önnu Friðriksdóttur 1896 og hófu þau búskap að Skálá í Sléttuhlíð þar sem Pálmi var oddviti Fellshrepps 1897-1899, fluttust í Ytri-Hofdali 1899 og svo að Svaðastöðum 1900 þar sem þau bjuggu til æviloka. Pálmi hafði snemma efnast vel og var búhöldur góður og búið á Svaðastöðum var bæði stórt og gagnsamt. Pálmi og Anna eignuðust tvo syni sem upp komust.
