History
Fædd og uppalin við Ísafjarðardjúp. Kvæntist Gísla Ólafssyni skáldi frá Eiríksstöðum í Svartárdal, þau eignuðust þrjú börn og ólu einnig upp dótturson sinn. Fyrstu ár sín í hjónabandi voru þau í húsmennsku á nokkrum bæjum í Svartárdal. Bjuggu á Blönduósi 1924-1928 er þau fluttu til Sauðárkróks þar sem þau bjuggu til æviloka. Jakobína starfaði mikið með kvenfélagi Sauðárkróks og var meðal þeirra sem lögðu fyrstu hönd að gróðursetningu trjáplantna í Sauðárgili þar sem nú kallast Litli skógur.
