History
Þorbjörg Eyhildur Gísladóttir fæddist í Eyhildarholti í Skagafirði. Þorbjörg, eða Lilla eins og hún var kölluð, var yngst af þrettán systkinum.
Foreldrar hennar voru Stefanía Guðrún Sveinsdóttir, f. 29.07.1895, d. 13.8.1977, og Gísli Magnússon, f. 25.03. 1893, d. 17.07.1981, bjuggu þau í Eyhildarholti.
Þorbjörg giftist Sæmundi Sigursveini Sigurbjörnssyni f. 21.07. 1936 að Þröm í Staðarhreppi en ólst upp á Grófargili í Seyluhreppi. Sæmundur lést 26.10.2024. Þorbjörg og Sæmundur bjuggu lengst af á Syðstu-Grund í Blönduhlíð.
Systkini Lillu voru Magnús Halldór, Konráð Elínbergur, Sveinn Þorbjörn, Konráð, Rögnvaldur, Gísli Sigurður, Frosti, Kolbeinn, Árni, María Kristín Sigríður, Bjarni og Þorbjörg.
Þorbjörg gekk í barnaskóla í Rípurhreppi og fór átján ára í húsmæðraskóla á Laugalandi í Eyjafirði. Ráðskona á Hótel Varmahlíð en einnig á Hótel Tindastóli og Hótel Villa Nova á Sauðárkróki. Auk þess fór hún tvær vertíðir til Vestmannaeyja. Eftir að börn Lillu og Sæma fæddust var hún heimavinnandi allt þar til upp úr 1980, þá fór hún að vinna á Saumastofunni í Varmahlíð og síðar hjá Pósti og síma og endaði sinn starfsferil í verslun Kaupfélags Skagfirðinga í Varmahlíð.
Börn Lillu og Sæmundar eru: Gísli Magnús, Guðrún Kristín, Kolbrún María, Anna Birna, Sveinn Arnar og Þorbjörn Sæmundur.
Þorbjörg var mikil félagsmálamanneskja hún starfaði lengi í Kvenfélagi Akrahrepps, einnig söng hún í kórum allt frá fermingaraldri til vorsins 2024 og var þá starfandi í tveimur kórum.
